This is pretty freaky. A wealthy family had recently purchased and remodeled a large old house in a small town.
According to locals, one of the people who lived in the house before them was an older woman who lost her husband
during the civil war. They said she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her
loved one returning home. He never did. The locals say the house is haunted by the old woman who still waits
for her husband to return. The wealthy family politely listened to these stories, but had no concern that the stories
may be true. Two months after the completion of the remodeling, everything changed. The family began hearing whispers at night and seeing faint, unaccounted for shadows during daylight. Nervously, the family began tape recording the whispers at night and photographing the shadows during daylight. Someone got hold of one of the pictures and recordings and posted it online. It takes a while to see it, but when you do, it's bone-chilling. It's a lot like a figure-ground illusion where you can view an object in more than one way. You just have to stare at it forever and eventually your brain will see it differently. Focus around the table in the picture and let your eyes go slightly out of focus. I couldn't understand what the woman was saying, but if you want to hear it, turn the sound up a bit. It's silent for a while and when it starts it's hard to hear because it's so faint.
